Krista Russell: Hi, my name is Krista Russell. Krista is Scandinavian, like my paternal grandparents who came to the US from Sweden in 1891. Russell is an old name. It started out in France but migrated over the English Channel after the Norman Conquest in 1066. Russell was Old French for someone with red hair or a red face. I don't have red hair but when I get embarrassed I definitely become Russell.
