Book Descriptions
for Little Rabbit's Questions by Dayong Gan
From The United States Board on Books for Young People (USBBY)
A little rabbit has a lot of questions for his mom, from why her eyes are so big to why she needs to speak loudly. With each question the little rabbit has, their mother's answers follow a pattern: she is the way she is because she loves her child very much. The book effectively tells the story in both Mandarin and English through the use of Mandarin characters, simplified pronunciations, and the English version. In addition, the illustrations are simple, but effective in displaying the bond between mother and child.

From the Publisher
Little Rabbit is playing outside in the garden with questions popping up into his mind. He was curious about Mama's big eyes, long ears and strong legs. Chinese brush painting combines naturally and perfectly with the little sweet talk between the little rabbit and his mother.
