Behind the blue house on Hickory Lane, the summer sun has just slipped out of sight. Darting from shadow to shadow, a red fox makes his way back to his mate, and his four small kits. The kits pounce on grasshoppers and chase feathers to practice their hunting skills. But in times of danger, they still rely on their parents' protection. When a fierce coyote attacks the fox family, it will take all Father Fox's strength and all of Mother Fox's cunning to save their young kits.
